Here's the second iteration of the wasabi bowls(with my forged chopsticks). It's the same basic design ,just a bit larger with more depth to the bowls so they can hold an adequate amount of wasabi and soy sauce without overflow.As with the first set each elliptical bowl is welded underneath to its rectangular base.
This may be the definitive version. I'll know as soon as I go for sushi again...

Koreans eat with metal chopsticks and unlike most Asian cultures,sometimes have metal bowls for miso and wasabi as well. I was out the other night at a local sushi bar with 6 friends and we all gave the sticks and little bowls a practical use test. We had a young Korean waitress who was absolutely fascinated with my pieces and was just full of effusive questions. I think she found me to be a sort of curio,but her fauning was a bit embarrassing. I guess I was sort of flattered ( I don't really get out that much,LOL) but she was acting so childish,and of course my friends were teasing me the rest of the night...
